Highway Brawl

Highway Brawl

The arcade game of long afternoons: twist the throttle, punch the rider next to you, wipe out and jog back to your bike.

  1. Race a motorbike on a long road against 14 other riders, with two-way traffic, pedestrians crossing and buffalo wandering over mountain passes.
  2. Ride alongside a rival and punch, kick or swing a weapon to knock them off; punch them mid-swing to steal their weapon — baton, chain, pig spear, steel pipe, bamboo pipe, helmet or honeycomb sandal.
  3. Collisions work like real life: grazing a scooter going your way or a pedestrian just knocks you sideways, ramming one square at speed throws you off; so does a head-on hit with oncoming traffic or a fast hit on a car, tree, pole or cow, and you run back to your bike. Cause a crash and the cops come after you from behind; if one reaches you while you're down, you're busted.
  4. Practice to learn the ropes; Thrash Mode: pick a level, a road (each one follows the real bends, bridges and junctions, and can be raced at night) — Saigon from Ben Thanh market past the Opera House, the Bạch Đằng riverfront, the Thu Thiem tunnel and the Ba Son bridge to Notre-Dame; Hanoi from the Temple of Literature through the Old Quarter, round Hoàn Kiếm lake, past Đồng Xuân market and across the Long Biên bridge; Da Nang down the Hải Vân pass, over the Dragon Bridge to Mỹ Khê beach, up Sơn Trà peninsula and into Hội An old town; Da Lat from the Rooster Church round the whole of Xuân Hương lake and down the Prenn pass; Vung Tau from Back Beach round Small Mountain to the White Palace; the Northwest up the Ô Quy Hồ pass — Grab, Be, ShopeeFood or Xanh SM driver gear and any bike.
  5. Online: public or private rooms for up to 10 players, with AI racers and cops just like single player.
