Around the house
Honeycomb sandals
They were light, soft and did not mind a flooded street; a scrub with soap made them white again. From grandparents to grandchildren, to the market or to school, everybody owned at least one pair.
Since every pair looked exactly the same, people went home from weddings or the pagoda wearing someone else's. The careful ones cut a tiny notch in the strap or wrote their name on it in ballpoint pen.
Do you remember? Have you ever gone home in someone else's sandals?
