Mini bicycle

For many kids the mini bike was their first “own wheels”: a low frame, small wheels, a wire basket at the front for the school bag. Getting one from dad after exams made you happy for a month.

After school you gave your best friend a ride on the back and pedalled around for snacks. When the chain came off you both got greasy fixing it; a flat tyre meant walking it to the roadside repair stand.
