How to play: Sudoku
The sudoku page in the newspaper, a pencil and an eraser.
- Fill in 1–9 so no number repeats in any row, column or 3×3 box.
- Every puzzle has exactly one solution — on easy and medium you never have to guess.
- Pencil mode jots down candidates; placing a number erases it from the notes in the same row, column and box.
- “Check” marks the cells you got wrong. With “3 mistakes and you lose” on, wrong cells show at once and the third mistake ends the game.
- The number pad shows how many of each digit are still missing. An unfinished game is kept on your device.
Tap a cell then a number (or press 1–9); Backspace to clear, arrow keys to move, P for pencil, Ctrl+Z to undo, Ctrl+Y to redo.
